Answering the Call
V3 Basketball Association was established to address the growing need for high-quality and affordable basketball recreational, instructional, and competitive programs support marginalized youth in Scarborough, particularly from racialized and BIPOC communities. We also understand the significance of keeping girls from these communities engaged in sports. Therefore, our mission is to ensure that marginalized youth and girls in these communities receive top-notch recreational and athletic instruction, which is often unavailable through municipal city-run programs that quickly reach capacity or lack the same level of offerings. We invite you to partner with us in achieving our goal to support marginalized youth by providing financial resources to further our cause.
How We Support Marginalized Youth
At V3 Basketball Association, we acknowledge the importance of promoting inclusivity and success among marginalized youth and girls. That’s why we have established ourselves as a reliable source of publicly available scholarships, bursaries, and other forms of financial assistance. These resources are dedicated to support marginalized youth and girls in participating in our diverse range of programming, including our summer basketball camps, boys and girls house league, co-ed development programs, boys and girls competitive REP teams, and travel basketball teams.
We firmly believe that participation in physical activities at all levels contributes to the personal growth and mental well-being of young people from various backgrounds. Therefore, we strive to ensure that youth from marginalized communities and girls always have a place to stay active through V3 Basketball Association.
We greatly appreciate your consideration. Your support will have a direct impact on the aforementioned youth through our V3 Basketball Association Scholarship Fund, V3 bursaries, and the V3 Prep High-Performance Basketball Grant. This grant is specifically designed to assist high-performing student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional talent on the court and in the classroom but lack the financial means to attend. When parents enroll their child in our programs they can request to receive an application for funding based on need when funds are available.
